This year, I was incredibly proud to have my painting, Voyage en Voiture chosen as an exhibit in the prestigious annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA).

This prestigious Society was founded in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London 1823. It continues today and has an annual exhibition each year.
The RBA Annual Exhibition brings together the Society’s members to showcase their work alongside a selection of works by non-members, which are of the highest quality. It offers major accolades, including The Huaicun Zhang Award and the Surgeon’s Prize.
Given the prestige of this exhibition, I was blown away and so very proud to be awarded the ‘Surgeon’s Prize’ for outstanding technique and vibrancy”, presented at the RBA’s annual exhibition and prize-giving ceremony at the Mall Galleries.
Other notable prizes awarded at the exhibition included the Peter Kelly Commemorative Prize to Rebecca Holton for “Winter Light Dexters” and the Winsor & Newton Award to Joshua Donkor for “Strati di Storia”.
I am so grateful to the Society and for everyone who has supported my work and to the collector who bought this painting. It means a huge amount to any artist to have this sort of public recognition for their work and has given me a massive confidence boost as well as validating my artistic choices!
