Writing is Good Therapy

Writing about your own thoughts is good therapy. If you want to build self-esteem when you feel down or depressed, write something positive that has happened in your life. It may have been some experience recently or some time ago but it will be a boost to your self-confidence. It is especially helpful if you are dealing with a serious illness.

One good thought could lead to others and make you realize you are worth the time to write about yourself for others. You may have a story of some good deed you did for others or a special event you enjoyed. Anything that gets you writing can be valuable.

On the other hand , if you are depressed, getting your feelings out there, can do wonders to lift your spirits. You can be your own therapist and start another day on a brighter note.

Take your thoughts now and get them on paper. You’ll be glad you did.

“The best way to cheer yourself is to cheer someone else up.” Mark Twain

Helping another with a life story can accomplish this for you.

  1. I like your Blog, jane.
It is always a great idea to put
    your thoughts down on paper.
that way you can see where
you need to make corrections to what-
ever you may be doing in life.
It helps as a way of therapy as mentioned.
